Situated on Marseille's famous Canebi�re, the Marsellie Mascotte Vieux Port is a modern, four storey hotel set opposite the old port, where ships have docked for 2,600 years. The 45 guestrooms are decorated in warm colours with patterned fabrics, and open out onto balconies. Modern amenities include air conditioning, cable television, refrigerator, and a telephone.

Metro 1 links eastern suburbs to north eastern suburbs via the old port. Metro 2 takes a North South route. The lines intersect at SNCF St Charles, the main railway station, and Castellane. Efficient bus and tram services also operate in the city.
